We have extensive collections relating to Woodville and Districts’ heritage.

For example:

Our Maori collection tells about the dominant tribes in the area and there is a collection of artefacts found in the district.

We have early photographs of the Manawatu Gorge and information about how the road and railway were developed.

There is a large collection of pioneer clothing.

Our collection of photographs is outstanding and perhaps the finest feature of our museum.

In addition we have pioneer machinery, lamps, irons, cameras, sewing machines, china, radios, war memorabilia, horse drawn vehicles, a replica grocer’s shop, books, clocks, and so on.

We have information about many of the pioneer families who settled in the district.
