About the museum

The Woodville Pioneer Museum Society was incorporated in 1977, not long after the town celebrated its centenary in 1975. The Council allowed the Society use of the land and building that was the former library for use as a museum.

Since that time the collection has grown considerably and a new large building was erected at the rear of the site to accommodate a fire engine and many of the larger items in the collection.

The Society has 20 members.

We would welcome new members and volunteers to catalogue our collection, staff the museum on Sundays, and generally assist with the many tasks involved with making our museum as up to date as possible.
